We at Maurice Engineering (including its subsidiaries or affiliates, hereinafter also referred to as "Maurice Engineering", "we" or "us") understand that you entrust sensitive information to us and believe that you have the right to do so to learn about our practices regarding the information we collect and use when you use our services or interact with us in any way.
Maurice Engineering is a platform that enables organizations to manage attendance in-out time and other related services for our worker and employee only. Maurice Engineering's mobile apps are also part of the same services. In addition, Maurice Engineering also operates a website, payroll.mauriceenggworks.com. Users can be either legal entities such as employers who have entered into an agreement with Maurice Engineering. The Account Owner is the Maurice Engineering account administrator for the company account created with Maurice Engineering. The Account Owner has full rights to the company account data and can create company users and grant data access permissions. The Account Owner is responsible for all data entered, employee images, demographic data, and all other data related to our employees and users.
This Privacy Policy describes Maurice Engineering's policies and procedures regarding the collection, use, access, correction, and disclosure of your personal information on payroll.mauriceenggworks.com (the "Site"), our mobile apps, and the administrative web dashboard. Your personal information includes any information that is reasonably available to us relating to you, alone or together with other information ("Personal Information"). This Privacy Policy also applies to your personal information provided to us in connection with the marketing of and/or assistance we provide to you in connection with the services, the provision of our Services and Mobile Apps.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third party applications or software accessible through the Site, Services or Mobile Apps. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
What information we collect about you and how we use it.

Personal Information

We generally collect and process the following types of personal information:
Personal Information collected through the Services consists of personal information knowingly and voluntarily provided by the Customer (employer), End User, or Customer Administrator, or through the use of the Morris Engineering Platform. This includes your name (first and last name), date of birth, gender, phone number, date you first started working for your employer, department you work in, employee ID, address, country, city, postal code, bank account details (bank name, account number, branch address), cancellation date, reason for cancellation, status in the system and while working, IP address, government ID data and other unique identifiers, information the customer wishes to collect, and any other information you choose to provide to Maurice Engineering and its employees.
Location information: When you use the Maurice Engineering User App (employee self-service app), location information is collected for time tracking purposes. The GDPR legal basis for processing this information is a contractual obligation to your employer to provide the service. If you use the Maurice Engineering Kiosk App, your employer may allow you to capture your GPS location for time tracking purposes.
Contact information: If you are interested in obtaining additional information about the Services, Site, or Mobile App, Maurice Engineering may ask you to provide personal contact information such as your name, email address, and phone number. This information is used to communicate with you by responding to your inquiries, comments and questions.
Biometric data and time attendance information: If your employer requires facial recognition login, we will collect biometric data through facial recognition to record your attendance-in and attendance-out. Facial biometrics will not be used for any purpose other than enabling time attendance related services. Registered faces are stored until the user becomes active and presence-based services based on facial recognition are required. This facial data is deleted when a user is removed by the account owner. Account owners may also delete registered faces of active users who are no longer needed by following their organization's processes. We do not share facial data with external third parties, except with subprocessors necessary for the operation of the app and to perform related user identification services for time tracking. Subprocessors do not store users' faces after processing is complete. When you use the app, we collect attendance and time attendance data.
Device Information: When you use our Mobile Apps, we may request access to your device's camera and photo storage so that you can take and upload images. This access will only be used in the manner you choose. You can revoke device-level access at any time. We will not access your device's camera or photo storage without your permission. When you download and use our Mobile Apps, we automatically collect device information, such as operating system version, type, and hardware usage statistics.
Non-Personal Information

The first type of data is anonymous information that does not identify any individual ("Non-Personal Information"). We do not know the identity of the users from whom we collect Non-Personal Information. Non-Personal Information means hidden information that is available to us while the user is using the Service or Site. The Non-Personal Information collected consists of technical and behavioral information and may include the user's Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect the computer to the Internet, the Uniform Resource Locator (URL), operating system, browser type, browser plug-in type and version, screen resolution, Flash version, time zone setting, the user's "clickstream" on the Website and Services, the duration for which the user visits certain pages on the Website or Services, and the method used to exit the page. Data collected as a service provider: As a service provider, Maurice Engineering Systems only collects information in accordance with the requirements of our customers (employers). Our subscription agreement governs the provision, access, and use of the Services and Mobile Apps, including the processing of personal data and data submitted via your Service account. The customer (e.g., employer) controls the Platform and all associated Customer Data. If you have questions about a specific Platform configuration, the processing of personal data on the Platform, or privacy practices, please contact the customer administrator for the Platform you use.
As a data processor, we can provide a data processing agreement to the account holder. If you are an Account Holder, you must comply with the GDPR. You are responsible for obtaining all necessary consents, notifying each end user as required, and complying with applicable data protection laws. You may request a Data Processing Agreement from us by emailing support@mauriceenggworks.com.
Disclosure of Personal Information

Third Party Services
You may be able to access other third party services through the Site, for example, by clicking on links to such third party services within the Site. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices of such third party services, and you are responsible for reading and understanding the privacy policies of such third party services. We will not share your personal information with third parties unless we have your permission or as follows:
To facilitate the operation of the App and Services and perform related services, such as, but not limited to, maintenance services, database management, web analytics, to help us improve the functionality of the Services, or analyze the use of our App and Services. Third parties will have access to personal information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.
In certain situations, we may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful requests by public authorities, including to meet national security or law enforcement requirements. We also reserve the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information as deemed necessary to (i) satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or government request; (ii) enforce this Privacy Policy, including investigation of possible violations of this Privacy Policy; (iii) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security or technical issues; (iv) respond to support requests from users; or (v) protect our rights, property, or safety. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations to protect against fraud and spam/malware. We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal information and to treat it in accordance with applicable law. We do not permit third parties and sub-processors with whom we share your personal data to use it for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions. Unless otherwise stated above, you will be notified when your personal information is shared with a third party and you will be given an opportunity to prevent that information being shared. Unless you have otherwise consented, we will only share your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy.

Maurice Engineering will retain data it processes on behalf of its customers only for the period necessary to provide services to its customers, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Maurice Engineering's data is backed up for system continuity reasons.
Each user should make appropriate backup copies of his or her data. Maurice Engineering is not responsible for data deletion, database breaches, or inaccurate data unless otherwise agreed with the customer.
After you cancel the service, we may begin permanently deleting your data 30 days later. Once this process has begun, it cannot be undone and your data will be permanently deleted. Some data will not be deleted and will remain anonymous.
Maurice Engineering collects and stores metadata and statistical information about your use of the service. Such information is not subject to the deletion procedures in this policy and may be retained by Maurice Engineering only for as long as necessary for business operations. Some data may also be stored on the servers of third-party service providers, subject to their retention policies. This stored metadata and statistics cannot identify you.
Moris Engineering limits access to personal information to (i) employees who require access in order for Moris Engineering to perform its obligations under this Privacy Policy and any contracts entered into with Moris Engineering, and (ii) employees who receive appropriate and regular training in the requirements applicable to the processing, maintenance and handling of personal data, and (iii) are subject to confidentiality obligations in accordance with applicable law.

Your Rights Regarding Your Data

If we store your personal information, you have the following rights to your information, depending on the service and your location:
If you provide personal information on our website, payroll.mauriceenggworks.com, we will inform you whether we store your personal information. You can access and request correction or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at support@mauriceenggworks.com. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe.
Where Maurice Engineering acts as a service provider to our customers, we have no direct relationship with the individuals whose personal information is provided to Maurice Engineering through the Services. If you are or were employed by one of our customers and wish to access, correct, amend, object to processing or profiling, or delete your personal data on the Platform, you should submit your request to the HR department or relevant department of the customer organization. If you use the Platform and are unable to make the relevant changes via the access to the Platform provided by the customer, the Platform will function or have functioned. Your account holder has obtained the consent of employees of their organization for all personal information shared with us. To exercise any rights, such as withdrawal of consent, you must contact the account holder with a request. Our customers and their end users may request access to, correction or modification of their personal information stored on the Maurice Engineering Platform. If an end user wishes to access, correct or delete their personal information, they may do so by contacting us at support@mauriceenggworks.com. As a processor, we will forward these requests to the relevant customer and assist them in responding as necessary.
With respect to your personal information that we collect directly from you and that we control, you have the following rights (this does not apply to data collected by a customer organisation for which we are a data processor):

Right of access

What does that mean? Individuals have the right to request access to their personal data.
How does Maurice Engineering fulfill this obligation?
You can request details of the personal data we hold about you. We will confirm whether we process your personal data and disclose additional information including the type of personal data, the source from which we obtain your personal data, the purpose and legal basis of the processing, the expected retention period and the safeguards for data transfer. Non-EEA countries are subject to the restrictions set out in applicable laws and regulations. We will provide you with a copy of your personal data free of charge.

Right to rectification

What does it mean?

Individuals have the opportunity to correct any missing, inaccurate or out-of-date information held about them.

Storage of information about minors This service is not targeted to minors and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. The service is available only to persons who have reached the legal age in their state of residence.
